THERE was quite a good roll up for our presentation day’s bowls last Saturday with 18 bowlers attending. Three matches of triples were played with the following results: Tom Apps, Rod Cooper and Pat Owen drew with Terry Ricketts, Bob Owen and Joan Clark 22/22;

TATHRA’S James Reynolds has been crowned the best bowler in the Bega Valley in not one, but four disciplines. Reynolds, 31, capped off a quartet of victories by winning the Far South Coast District Bowls Associations (FSCDA) triples title on Sunday.

THE Triples final championship at the Lithgow Workmen’s Club Valley Women’s Bowling Club provided some great bowling with Judy Kennedy, Barbara Bryce and Margaret Thwaites defeating Beryl Evans, Ruth Harries and Barbara Watters 25-22.

Railway gets winner on board

FINALLY, Dubbo has a winning player from the Railway Master Pairs. In Friday’s final of the $25,000 five-day tournament, Railway general manager Jay Porter played with former State teammate John Green from Corrimal in the Illawarra.
