The Lancelin Ocean Classic is a world class windsurfing competition running from Thursday, 7th January, through to Sunday, 10th January. More than 300 elite windsurfers from around the world are expected to compete over the four days.

Chairman of Gingin Community Financial Services Ltd, David Roe, said this is the first year the Bendigo Community Bank has sponsored the event.

Mr Roe said: “The Lancelin Ocean Classic is not just a first-rate windsurfing event and a great day out. It’s also a huge boost for the local economy.”

Branch manager of the Lancelin Bendigo Bank, Colin Roche, said the event after party is one of the highlights of Lancelin’s year.

“We are inviting spectators to join us in the Bendigo Bank marquee at the finish line.”

Festivities will include children’s entertainment provided by Piggy the Bendigo Bank mascot and prize giveaways.
