Jayme - player of the week

Jayme - player of the week

26 Aug, 2009 02:00 AM
Yanchep District Junior Football Club has recently concluded one of the club’s most successful seasons on record.

Close to 20 players in the 12s clocked up their 50 game medals.

In the 10s Jayme Stafford was the proudest player after a recent game when she was named Player of the Week.

Jayme has been playing for Yanchep juniors for three years and is looking forward to playing her 50 game early next season.

The Yanchep Districts Junior Football club will be holding their trophy day at the Phil Renkin Centre on Saturday, 12th September, starting at 11.30am.

The coaches, team managers will provide season reports about each team, trophies will be awarded to players and all parents and players can enjoy some great comradery and good fellowship.

The Yanchep juniors have probably had their biggest and best season yet with the number of players at a all time high.

Concerns about sufficient playing ovals have been raised and at least two new football ovals and change rooms will be required for season 2010 and beyond.

The City of Wanneroo was alerted to these needs earlier this year, currently how the council is going to manage this issue is unknown.

Why didn't the other players get to go in the paper that's sad?

If the relevant information was supplied, the other players could have been published throughout the season.
