Yanchep teenager, Gabbi Clayton, moved to a college in Wyoming, USA as part of a full basketball scholarship and to study nursing.
Last year, Gabbi was a member of the under 20 WA women's team winning a bronze medal at the national tournament.
In 2008, Gabbi was named in the all Australian team at the Pacific School Games. She has also been an ITC Basketball WA scholarship holder for the past six years.
Gabbi is looking forward to seeing snow for the first time and experiencing being a basketballer in the US college system.
As a freshman at Sheridan College, Gabbi is looking to transfer to NCAA Division 1 Northern Colorado College, next year.
Gabbi expressed her thanks to everyone for their support over the past few years when she has fundraised in the community.
Without this fundraising for her various basketball experiences, she would never have been given the opportunity to be where she is now.
