Two Rocks fire

A fire started near Bower Grove in Two Rocks was reported to FESA about 5.00pm, yesterday - Monday 2nd January.

With strong south-west winds the fire quickly raced across the open bush towards Breakwater and SeaTrees Estates.

Warning wwere issued to residents in these estates.

Breakwater Drive was closed between Birdsong Gate and Damepattie Drive.

Fire crews including 50 career firefighters, two water bombers and two front end loaders were used to control the fire.

FESA reported that at this stage the cause of the fire was unknown.

At 8.15pm, FESA reported the fire was now contained and under control.

"There was no threat to lives or homes."
