Successful Gingin bull sale

11 Mar, 2010 01:16 PM
Agents Landmark and Elders sold 56 bulls on behalf of the Midland Cattle Breeders Association at the annual Gingin bull sale, last Thursday.

The sale grossed over $240,000 with the average of $4,298.00 per head. Vendors came from Northampton, Walkaway, Coomberdale, Mowara, Wongan Hills, Perth, Bindoon and Gingin.

Both Morawa Agricultural College and Lockridge Senior High School provide quality stock to the sale.

Buyers came from Binnu in the north to Kojonup in the south west.

The Gingin Football Club provided the refreshments for the day with great hamburgers and cold drinks.

Thanks must go to the staff at the Shire of Gingin for their help in getting the facilities ready for this important day on the rural calendar.
