New shopping centre

03 Feb, 2011 10:27 AM
The Yanchep Central Shopping Centre should be open for business by Easter 2012. In an exclusive to the Sun City News, the developer, Yanchep Beach Estates, released these two architectural impressions of this new shopping centre.

The first stage of the shopping centre will have a Woolworths supermarket and about 30 other shops. Construction is expected to start soon.

Spokesperson for Yanchep Beach Estates, Mr Ang Gin Wah, said: “I expect this district centre to be the centre of activity for the community and the people of Yanchep/Two Rocks, until the Yanchep City Centre is developed.

“This project has been almost 10 years in making and it is through patience in wanting to deliver a facility for the community that Yanchep Beach Estates Pty Ltd, endeavored and persevered. YBE is humbly excited in delivering the first major retail development in Yanchep/Two Rocks.”

Yanchep Beach Estates is also working closely with the City of Wanneroo to develop the new sports facility in Yanchep.

Fantastic, Yanchep is a gem and this is just the beginning.

Well done to the developers, residents currently have to do a 26 km's round trip to go to Coles Butler or 15 km's round trip to Two Rocks.

What next ........?

Wwonderful news but will believe it when it happens as the residents of Yanchep are continually being "promised things" with no results.

Whereabouts in Yanchep is this shopping centre going to be built ?

I'm a new arrival so have missed earlier information.

Will be fantastic to have a new sports centre and perhaps upgraded cafes!

It will be fantastic and hopefully when the jobs are advertised, the employers will look at Yanchep/Two rocks applicants before all others.

I am desperately trying to find work, but due to the time it takes to travel down towards Joondalup my options are limited somewhat, especially with three children, two of which attend Two rocks primary.

I will believe it when I see it.

Wasn't this shopping complex due to open Easter 2011?

Wasn't Mitchell Freeway supposed to be named Yanchep Freeway and actually reach Yanchep?

How long did we have to wait for Marmion Avenue extension?

How long will we wait for a train station?

Everything happens South of Perth to Mandurah and Bunbury.

Does Yanchep exist as far as politicians are concerned or Yanchep doesn't matter since most politicians live south of the river?

There's an explosion of new suburbs in the northern corridor but where's the infrastructure to sustain it?

Bus service, train stations, shopping centres, doctors, ADSL2. Nice to know good things are planned for Yanchep for 2050.

What about now????
