Both Mr Gifford and Burt stated that over the next few months they would be attending as many local community meetings to possible, they want to talk with the local community and understand, first hand, their issues and how council maybe able to help or provide better services to the community.

I was fortunate enough to work with Mr Burt for a few years at the Shire of Gingin.

I reckon the council has made a very good decision in his appointment.

I trust they will listen carefully too, and implement his advice.

Michael O'Loghlen,

Yanchep.
