Jacinta, a trainee hairdresser, is very nervous about getting all her beautiful hair shaved off, but she has a very good reason to make the sacrifice for this great cause.

Her father, Trevor Morris, 39, was first diagnosed with acute Myeloid Leukaemia in 2004. He has suffered a number of relapses over the past eight years.

After an unsuccessful worldwide bone marrow matching process, Trevor is suffering with long term side effects and developing other medical problems.

During the bone marrow matching process, they were able to find three friends who were compatible with other patients and they went on to donate their bone marrow.

Two other close family members of Jacinta have lost their lives due to Leukaemia. Barry and Daniel were only seven years old when their lives were cut short with this devastating disease.

Every 46 minutes someone in Australia gets the news they have blood cancer. Jacinta is hoping to raise as much money as possible from people sponsoring her.
