22 Jul, 2010 10:50 AM
Members and staff from Lancelin Disability and Disadvantaged in the arts of Australia (DADAA) were asked by the Shire of Gingin to design and paint a banner which will be displayed in Adelaide and St Georges Terrace, Perth for Western Australian Local Government Week from 1st August to the 14th August.

This is the 3rd year DADAA has been involved with this project.

This years theme for local Government week is “ Better Local Government “

DADAA participants discussed what they thought the Shire of Gingin had done for better local government, with a lot of feed back like, planning, growth, partnerships, sponsorship, community centre, bank and aged care.

The completed banner was presented to Lancelin Councillor, Val Ammon by the centre co-ordinator, Tamara Thomas.

The banner is three and a half metres deep and one and a half metres wide.
