Corner store proposed

02 Sep, 2010 01:12 PM
Seatrees Estate residents, Ron and Angie Arnold are seeking a minor amendment to the structure plan for the Seatrees Estate on Breakwater Drive, Two Rocks.

The original structure plan has provision for a ‘corner store’ on Lot 12 Countryside Drive.

The current owner of Lot 12 have not exercised the option to construct a corner store on their land. The Arnold family are seeking to transfer the ‘corner store’ zoning to their property, Lot 13 Countryside Drive.

Mr Arnold told the Sun City News that if the amendment was successful he would like to create a corner store that could service the Seatrees and Breakwater Estates, which is currently being created over the road.

Mr Arnold said they already have a regular flow of people visiting the area and calling at his property requesting information to where the nearest shops are located.

The Sun City News under-stands that the corner store proposal would be completely functional within two months of approval being given by the City of Wanneroo.

Mr and Mrs Arnold are circulating a petition to gauge the level of support the local community may or may not have for this proposal, prior to lodging a formal request to amend the structure plan.

If you would like any further information, or to sign the petition, call into Lot 13 Countryside Drive.

Petition forms are available at the Sun City News office, Shop 14, Two Rocks Shopping Centre.
