The body of a Lancelin woman who went missing from a beach last Sunday afternoon has been found 48 hours later.
A police spokeswoman said 46 year old Andrea Kusters' body, dressed in diving gear, was found by police divers near Edward Island just before 9.00am, not far from where some of her belongings were found in a beach carpark, two days ago.
She said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding Ms Kusters' death. The death will be investigated on behalf of the coroner.
A search was sparked when Ms Kusters was reported missing to police at 7.00pm on Sunday.
Senior Sergeant, Greg Trew, of the Water Police said there were initially conflicting reports about whether Ms Kusters had gone swimming or scuba diving.
It was originally thought she had gone kite surfing but her kite surfing gear had been found, while some of her scuba diving gear was missing, he said.
Sergeant Trew said two search and rescue boats, two crayfishing boats and surf life saving jetskis were involved in the water search, while two aircraft were in the air and mounted police and quad bike searchers has been scouring the coast to find Ms Kusters.
Divers had also been searching off the Lancelin coast. Lancelin Sea Search and Rescue Group assisted with the search.
A member of the public found a bicycle and a canoe carrier in a car park near Eddie's Point, police said.
