The nearly 15 year old is one of six West Australian finalists in the 20th annual Girlfriend Rimmel Model Search.

In the past, the competition has launched some of Australia’s most recognised modelling talents, but it was only by chance Miss Leluda entered the Perth heats last week.

“I accompanied my friend to the competition and decided to give it a go,” she said. “I was really shocked when I was named as a finalist, it was a great experience.”

Alina travelled to Westfield Carousel to meet the judges along with nearly 300 other hopefuls.

Alina is a year 10 student at Yanchep District High School who intends to finish her schooling at Mindarie Senior High and would like to become a fashion designer. She enjoys dancing, modelling and swimming.

The winner will receive a two year contract with Chic Management, an all expenses paid trip to Next Model Management in New York, an all expenses paid trip to Sydney for the finalists’ fashion shoot, an appearance in two Girlfriend shoots and one year supply of Rimmel London products.

Miss Leluda should know by the end of the month, if she has been selected to attend the finals in Sydney, in November.
