Every now and then, I receive a narky email or phone call having a go at my spelling and grammar.
One of the unique features about the Sun City News team, we don't profess to being the world's best spellers or grammatic experts.
We are a community-minded, locally owned and operated newspaper, trying our best to provide the most comprehensive local news possible.
From a small staffing, we produce a forrtnightly newspaper that is distributed from Clarkson to Lancelin, across to Gingin, Carramar and Wanneroo.
Additionally, we run a website, Facebook, page, Twitter and a blog - I'm telling you there's not many hours in the day that we aren't working out butt off.
We use spell check on our computer, but it never picks up everything.
If we happen to 'stuff-up'pelling of a word occasionally, even using spell check - It's tough buns, we tried out hardest.
It's not as if we are the only newspaper to make a spelling error or two.
I can still remember the biggest mistake I have ever seen - A large newspaper had a full page for a Shirt Sale and someone left out the R in shirt.
Oops, what a blunder, that really is a mistake.
We will try harder to improve on those spelling mistakes and grammatic errors, but hey if a mistake gets through - Shirt Happens!
