Our politicians, both at the state and federal level, are a disgrace. Their behaviour is appalling and some of the worst I have ever seen or heard in forty years.

Politicians are expected to be pillars of our community and leaders, not bullies, verbal thugs abusing anyone and everyone sitting opposite them in parliament.

Many politicians have been nicknamed by their opponents

There is the 'Sniper,' a politician who sits on the back benches and throws snide remarks.

There is the 'Butcher' - never cross this guy, he'll castrate you as quick as patting you on the back.

The list goes on and on.

I thought we elected our politicians to lead this country, financially, environmentally and morally to a better life for our children, and their children.

Currently, our politicians are simply showing their ignorance, their lack of care and their selfish political attitude.

It doesn't matter which side of politics you follow, they are all a 'Bloody Disgrace' and need to lift their game.

While politicians call for a 'Media Enquiry' I believe there should be a total 'Parliamentary Review.'

Do we need three levels of government?

Our current three tiers of government is simply one big money waster – Reduce the levels of government to two, say federal and regional councils.

Tens of millions of dollars would and could be saved, clear definition could be given to who is responsible for what and politicians could be made more accountable for their actions or non-actions.

I won’t hold my breath waiting for any action, our politicians just don’t move quick enough until it’s too late – Then they wonder why the community votes them out.

We need change before it’s too late!
