I've never meet a politician from any level of government who hasn't got a skeleton of two in the cupboard.

And most politicians manage to keep the cupboard locked and their skeletons quiet.

It's when a politician doesn't 'tow the line' or 'upsets some faction boss' that all of a sudden the skeletons start to rattle and the muck starts to fly.

It's all part of the power plays that go on at all levels of politics and government.

If you think it's only at the federal or state level of politics - You will be wrong.

As a person who has had first hand experience with eight years in local government, I can name a few power brokers who tried to throw a 'heap of muck' at and about me because I asked a wrong question.

Questioning a person's intentions, got me and my family three years of hassles, and I'm not connected to any political party, and never have been.

I've seen long time friends, bust up over political skeleton rattling. I've seen people and their families' lives destroyed by these political bullies, and I've even seen these political bullies brag and boast about their disgraceful antics.

Some of the political thugs are not afraid to resort to criminal activities, use muscle men or hire a thug to scare their victim to submission to their cause.

The current federal mess is just another day in the life of Australian politics and doesn't help anyone with our 'bust and boom' dramas.
