When you live out of the Perth CBD in the outer metro area or the fringe country region, everyone expects to pay a few cents more, but some of my recent price comparisons are ridiculous.
Take my first example: 3 litre Harvey Fresh milk. Butler and Ocean Keys price $4.69. Two Rocks price $6.70.
How can anyone justify charging $2.01 or fortypercent more?
Next example: small tin of anchoves. Butler and Ocean Keys price $2.89. Two Rocks price: $6.80.
This is close to 140 percent increase.
Final example: unleaded fuel - $1.099 per litre. Yanchep and Lancelin price $122.9 per litre.
A 20 percent increase for the same product.
Can anyone provide a logic reason why prices are so much dearer?
What do you think?
