With all the back-stabbing going on in Federal politics, the Gillard - Abbott main bout just continues to annoy me.
But then closer to home, the WA Barnett Liberal-National
Government has problems of their own - Minister for Police and Emergency Services - Rob Johnson.
The release of the Mike Keelty report into the Roleystone fires has gravely embarrassed the state government.
Rob Johnson keeps saying he hasn't done anything wrong - The fact is he hasn't done anything.
He was aware, several years ago, about the ego problems between FESA and DEC and apparently has done nothing!
But 'doing nothing' has filled most of Johnson's political career over many years.
Any way, back to the main bout - Gillard v Abbott.
These two hard head politicians continue to taunt, tease, abuse and sling mud at each other - In the meantime the nation suffers.
There is a massive lack of 'feeling safe in the Lucky Country' and I hear they are going to change the saying
'She'll be right mate' to 'We knackered, let the UK and United States, what next?'
It's anyone's guess when or where this squabble will finish - My guess is the next election in 2013, but can we wait that long?
In the meanwhile our mate, Rob Johnson, won't have done much - He should be pensioned off.
His parliamentary pension would be worth heaps, let alone all the perks our pollies pick up too!
With the fires season just around the corner, FESA, DEC and the Bush Fire volunteers won't have had enough time to implement all the vital changes.
The first vital thing that Premier Colin Barnett must do is get rid of Johnson.
My guess is we will see a cabinet reshuffle around the Christmas break and Johnson should be dumped up on the back benches and into retirement.
Will it happen.
