I was stupid enough to have a Mrs Mac's Big Country Pie for lunch today.
Yuk, what a mistake!
Besides the pie tasting horrible, I glanced at the ingredients section on the packaging - It states: "Wheat Flour, Water, Beef (20%)".
Now I'm guessing there is 20% of each ingredient, but its not marked very clearly.
Then at the end of the next line it states: "Steak 6%"
Wow a whole six percent, I must make sure I don't choke on it.
The rest of the ingredients included: "Flavour enhancers, Emulsifers, Flavour and Colour."
My concern is - What are we exactly getting in our pies?
It's definitely not much meat!!
There's plenty of the wrong or bad foods in the pie - The calorie count is 3030kJ per pie. Some diets suggest no more than 3000 kJ per day. One pie wipes the entire day out.
Fat is over 38g with carbohydrates at 71.8g and salt at a whopping 1580mg - Not very healthy at all.
After reading the contents on the label and the pain of my stomach trying to digest that pie - I think I've just eaten my last pie.
